Job details

Lloyds Banking Group is the UK’s leading digital bank and biggest mobile bank with over 12 million active online customers across our three main brands. We’ve placed Digital banking at the heart of our strategy to become the best bank for customers, backed with an investment of £1bn in Digital Transformation.

With 52% of the Group’s Retail, Consumer Finance and Insurance products being met digitally it highlights where our customers are choosing to be and it’s therefore a key focus area for the bank.

And in joining our Innovation and Digital Development team you’ll have a role that matters - shaping the future competitive advantage of the bank through your knowledge of behavioural economics, analytics and customer journeys.

You’ll be working across a group of pathfinders and trailblazers shaping the future of the bank across our three core pillars of Proposition, Customer Journey Transformation and Digital Capabilities.

You’d bring both academic expertise and relevant industry experience within decision science and behavioural insights to help optimise new digital propositions and journeys.

Design, layouts, default choices, messaging etc. are all aspects you have expertise in from the point of view of digital customer behaviour. And in association with your Innovation and Analytics colleagues you’ll shape, run and analyse customer experiments in non-production environments using A/B testing methods to test your theories and the improvement of customer outcomes.

You’ll help to ensure that our onsite designs, products and messages are ensuring we’re being transparent, treating customers fairly and meeting the standards our regulators demand whilst giving customers the smoothest and most intuitive experience possible.

Competent with data segmentation, analytics and modelling you’ll provide thought leadership and champion customer behaviour aspects with teams across Group Digital- especially in Customer Experience, Customer Labs, and E Commerce - to integrate behavioural insights into these areas.

You’ll be a key advisor role to the Group Digital business ensuring they understand the implications of the behavioural insight and analysis. And you’ll be leading the delivery of actionable customer, competitor and market insights that influence business decisions to ultimately refine our customers’ experiences.

We’ll also expect you to play a partnership role in contemporary academic research with leading global academic institutions to bring a better understanding of behavioural science into the bank.

So we’ll be looking for an appropriate academic background across consumer behaviour, digital design and human computer interaction along with the relevant practical experience within Financial Services that has given you a deep understanding of Digital customer behaviours.

And we’ll bring you together with smart, talented, people from diverse backgrounds that enjoy a collaborative and innovative environment that supports flexible and agile working.

You’d be joining a leading digital organisation with the career potential you’d expect as we look to build the Behavioural Economics practice and a team around you.

We’ll also provide a package that includes a performance-related bonus, generous pension contribution, car/allowance and a range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle.

So, if being at the cutting edge of Digital Banking appeals and you’ve the background and skills we’re seeking then get in touch, we’d be keen to hear from you.

Our vision of being the best bank for customers is dependent on every colleague committing to and demonstrating our core value of "putting customers first". In joining us you'll have a role that matters and will contribute towards the Group achieving our vision through your day-today actions being performed in line with our Codes of Responsibility and Group Policies. By individually and collectively committing to our Group values and codes, we will be able to make a difference together and help Britain prosper.

We're also committed to employing a diverse and inclusive workforce, reflective of the customers and communities we serve – where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit.

We're proud to have received the following industry recognition: 'Stonewall Top Private Sector Employer', 'Top10 Employer for Working Families', 'The Times Top 50 Employer for Women' and both 'Gold Standard' and "Best Workplace Adjustments Process" from the Business Disability Forum – each demonstrating our commitment to the principles of agile working and inclusion for all.

So if this sounds like a culture that you'd like to be a part of then be assured that we'll welcome your application.
