The Commercial Banking business provides a client focused approach for UK businesses and businesses with strong links to the UK. The CB businesses Help Britain Prosper globally through our network of expert relationship managers and product specialists, which allow our clients to tap into local knowledge, providing them with expert advice on their businesses and the products they need to help them manage their risk, achieve liquidity and support their growth ambitions.

The CB Returners Scheme offers a wide range of opportunities for returning professionals who have previously worked within commercial banking or related professional services. We have roles across the business, including our Coverage areas of FI, Mid Markets and SME, our Product areas of CB Markets and Global Transaction Banking, through to Delivery and Risk, spanning both frontline and support function roles at senior levels, across a number of locations around the UK.

Annualised Salary for Commercial Banking Returners Programme is £54,000 - £62,000

If your initial application is successful we’d look for you to join us for an Assessment Day on either 27th March, 3rd April or 6th April.

The programme commences on 5th June and for successful Returners, permanent roles would follow.

For the duration of the programme you would receive a pro rata salary as shown (dependant upon location) and a lump sum to take as cash or use to purchase a tailored benefits package tailored to meet your lifestyle choices.

Commercial Banking have a number of opportunities across a range of business and locations.

SME Banking
SME Banking supports clients with a turnover of £1m - £25m or those with borrowing needs of more than £150k. Our offer to clients is provided through a single overarching client proposition supported by three sub-segment strategies for SME clients – where increasingly complex client needs are serviced through enhanced coverage and depth of service. We have opportunities in Central London & the South East, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol & Manchester.

Mid Markets
Mid Markets serves over 4,500 business clients with turnovers of between £25m and £750m. We operate from 24 key locations throughout the UK, supported by local product and credit partners.
We have tailored propositions and specialist Relationship Teams for our Education, Government and Charities sectors and Social Housing clients. In our London-based teams we are able to operate a pure sector model due to the scale of that business.

Financial Institutions
The Financial Institutions team is a specialist group focused on supporting the specific needs and services required by financial institution clients through a dedicated team of relationship managers in London, Edinburgh, New York and Singapore.
Each relationship team’s in-depth knowledge
and understanding of their sector is supported
by the product expertise from the Global
Transaction Banking, CB Markets and Lending
teams.

CB Markets
Commercial Banking Markets is responsible for helping our clients raise the finance they need, and help manage the risks they face. The team achieves this by focusing on providing insight, advice and products to help businesses achieve their goals, supporting our helping Britain prosper globally vision.

Global Transaction Banking
Global Transaction Banking helps clients operate and grow. The team helps clients to manage their transactions efficiently, and supports their growth by unlocking cash tied up in working capital, mitigating risk and providing finance.

Delivery
Delivery encompasses a wide range of functions from across Commercial Banking (CB) and the Group. The teams work collaboratively to support the Client and Product teams and together share the common goal of ‘relentlessly executing’ the CB strategy of being the best bank for clients.
CB Delivery have a range of opportunities across their Change, Data Services, Cyber Security, Control Function and Business Services teams

Client Asset Management
The Client Asset Management business encompasses a number of different teams including portfolio management, portfolio analytics, lending products, client insight and performance management.
